Beta Privacy Notice
This notice describes the data used by the United States Android beta for players aged 16 and older.
Data the beta stores
The game creates a random Guest credential on the player’s device. The beta service stores it with:
- the public Guest display name;
- skill rating, match outcomes, recent history, and recorded-rival runs;
- Daily Event attempts, progress, times, and leaderboard results;
- earned Style Credits and selected or owned test cosmetics;
- player-name reports and enforcement history when moderation is enabled; and
- limited operational and security data needed to run and protect the service.
Display names may be visible to opponents and on game leaderboards. Do not use a legal name or include contact information in a display name.
Why data is used
Data is used to authenticate the Guest profile, operate matchmaking and matches, restore progress, calculate beta ratings and leaderboards, run Daily Events, prevent duplicate rewards and abuse, moderate public names, and diagnose service problems.
Advertising and telemetry
The current build does not ship an advertising or third-party product analytics SDK. A later beta may test Google AdMob only after the game, this notice, and the Play Data Safety form are updated to describe the exact integration. The approved design defaults ads off unless valid server configuration enables an approved placement.
Planned beta measurement is limited to Google Play Android Vitals and privacy-conscious operational, matchmaking, reliability, moderation, and aggregate ad-delivery events. Puzzle moves, raw credentials, precise location, and free-form support messages are not product telemetry.
Service providers and sharing
Encrypted game traffic is processed through Cloudflare Workers, Durable Objects, and D1. Google Play distributes the Android build. Website and network providers may process ordinary request information such as IP address, browser or app user agent, timestamps, and error data to deliver and secure their services. Hashi Rivals does not sell beta player data.
Retention and deletion
Active beta profile data is retained for Beta Season 0 unless it is deleted earlier. The beta may reset or remove test data at the end of the season. Operational logs, moderation evidence, backups, and security records are limited to what is reasonably needed for troubleshooting, safety, fraud prevention, recovery, and legal obligations.
Open Profile in the game and select Privacy / Delete Guest Data, or use the web deletion instructions. Deletion removes live profile data and resets the device identity. Historical opponent references are anonymized. Limited deletion tombstones may remain to prevent deleted profiles from returning during a restore. Deleted records may remain temporarily in access-controlled disaster-recovery copies until normal recovery periods expire.
Security and age
Public beta traffic uses encrypted connections and the server validates competitive actions. No system can guarantee absolute security. The US beta is intended only for players aged 16 and older. Players under 16 may not participate.
